April 5th – Hawaii Kai Lions for Traffic Awareness at Kamiloiki Elementary School

Hawaii Kai Lions for Traffic Awareness at Kamiloiki EOn April 5, 2023, three Lions participated in the traffic awareness sign waving event coordinatedby HPD Officer John Mau at Kamiloiki Elementary School from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. There were at least a dozen HPD officers joining in the sign waving, which included several motorcycle officers. During the sign waving, one of the motorcycle officers pursued a potential speeder going up Hawaii Kai Drive.

Lions participating included Cynthia Chun, Yolisa Ishibashi, and Frances Lum.

In support of the Community Policing Team of District 7 East Honolulu and Kamiloiki Elementary School, the Hawaii Kai Lions continue to encourage safe driving near our schools and look forward to participating in future projects with them, as well as the other schools within the community.
