Hearing Screening Project

Hearing loss can affect a child’s ability to develop speech, language and social skills.  The earlier children with hearing problems get service, the more likely they can reach their full potential.

The Lions Hearing Screening Program screens students for possible hearing problems and refers those students, who may be in need of further testing and/or medical evaluation, to the appropriate health care provider.

The procedures we use are primarily designed to only detect potential hearing problems and not designed to be diagnostic in nature.

The Hawaii Kai Lions Club performs hearing screening at:

Hahaione Elementary School

Kamilo'iki Elementary School

Koko Head Elementary School
