International Youth Camp Diamond Head Hike

Published by Webmaster on

On July 9th, ten Lions from Hawaii Kai along with 3 invited guests and other lions from Koko Head, Kaimuki and Diamond Head waited for the international youths to arrive. Upon their arrival, all of the Lions lined up near the Diamond Head sign to greet them. After the group photo the youths gathered under the trees to hear a brief description of Diamond Head’s history.

We then began the hike with the youths and Lions as escorts. We made it to the top pretty quickly although there were a few who took their time. After the youths got some rest and took many photos, we headed back down.

When everyone returned, we began to eat the sandwiches that were picked up by Lion Stan. There was also ice cake and ice cream.

After resting and enjoying each other’s company, it was time to clean up and get the youths back on the bus to head to their next stop of the day. More photos and thanks were shared and I believe everyone enjoyed themselves.

Thanks to all who participated and helped to make this another great success.
